Our Mission
Your pet comes first at Animal Care Clinic. Our doctors and staff are committed to providing your family’s pets the highest standard of care through all their life stages. Whether you have a dog, cat, bird, turtle, ferret, fish or other exotic pets, our compassionate and professional staff members strive to develop long-term relationships with your family and pets.
Our medical and surgical services include vaccinations, flea and tick treatments, spay, neuter and dental surgery. We treat a full range of illnesses, including skin problems (itching, rashes, ear infections), lameness (slow getting up and down, trouble with stairs), gastrointestinal problems (vomiting, diarrhea, foreign bodies), excessive thirst and urination, and obesity. The doctors of Animal Care Clinic are accredited by the USDA to endorse airline health certificates for families with pets traveling by airline or military members who are PCSing to Hawaii, Guam, Okinawa, European Union or any other international destination. We have a full service in house laboratory and x-ray suite, and carry prescription diets as well as natural supplements. Our examinations include and complete nose to tail evaluation of your pet. We tailor all our treatments to your pet’s breed and age AAHA - The American Animal Hospital Association
We are a member of the American Animal Hospital Association. We are part of a network of veterinary professionals who truly care about providing the highest stand of care to their patients. Only 14% of all animal hospitals are AAHA accredited and we are a Level 4 accredited hospital! Accredited hospitals are inspected by trained practice consultants to ensure they meet AAHA's high standards in 12 specific areas such as surgery and anesthesia, dentistry, pain management, patient care, radiology services, pet medical records, staff continuing education, client service, housekeeping and maintenance. With so many of our clients being military families, we work to find you an AAHA hospital near your next PCS location.

Our Most Popular ServicesComplete Physical Examinations: At Animal Care Clinic your pet’s physical examination is a nose to tail complete health assessment. Whether the examination is part of a routine 6 month check-up or for an illness, we look closely at your family pet’s overall health. Our goal is to find potential problems before your pet becomes sick.
Emergencies: We are available to help your pet in a time of emergency. Whenever possible, please call ahead. This will help us better triage your pet and have the equipment and medicine your pet needs ready for when you arrive. Vaccinations: Part of routine care may require vaccinations. We develop a customized vaccine program for your pet. For puppies and kittens a series of vaccines is needed to ensure they will be adequately protected. If you’ve recently adopted your pet for a shelter or store we will review your pet’s vaccine history to determine the protection they need. Microchips: This is a painless procedure that provides a permanent means of identification for your pet. All shelters and clinics have scanners. Should your pet ever become lost or stolen, a scan will identify your pet’s unique identification number. We use ISO standard chips that are required for worldwide travel. Surgery: Our doctors are experienced and confident in many difficult surgeries. We routinely perform spays, neuters, tumor removal, abdominal, and orthopedic procedures. Before any surgery we perform lab tests to ensure your pet is healthy for anesthesia. We always prescribe pain relief to start before your pet’s procedure. During your pet’s surgery, we keep your pet on warmed intravenous fluids and a warmed surgical blanket. All procedures are monitored with an EKG, pulse oximeter, blood pressure cuff, and esophageal stethoscope. Nutrition and Supplements: We feel very strongly that nutrition plays a key role in your pet’s well being. We carry a wide range of supplements, vitamins, and prescription diets. Behavior: Many times a change in your pet’s behavior may be a sign of an illness. Problems such as accidents in the house, aggression, lack of appetite may be a sign of deeper problems, including infections, worms, diabetes, and other illnesses. Other behavioral problems may simply need proper training. We can help you determine what is needed to help resolve your pet’s misbehavior. Skin, Ears, Fleas and Ticks: If your pet is scratching, licking at their feet, or their ears smell, it may be a sign of a skin problem. There are many causes of these problems, including allergies, infections, and fleas or ticks. We can determine the cause and prescribe what is needed to make your pet comfortable again. Teeth: Does your pet have bad breath? Routine dental care is as important for pets as with people. We have a wide variety of home care products to help with your pet’s dental care. From time to time pets do need a complete scaling and polishing and even x-rays and extractions. We can discuss your pet’s needs and develop a plan to keep their smile nice. Nail Trims, Baths, and Scooting: We offer nail trims, ear cleanings, baths, and anal expression as needed. Expert Witness: Dr. Silverstone is qualified to serve as an expert witness in animal cases. His research skills make him thoroughly adept at the investigation of case issues from a veterinary standpoint. Please have your attorney’s office contact Dr. Silverstone directly if you are in need of his professional services. Health Certificates: The doctor’s of Animal Care Clinic have the USDA Accreditation to complete travel health certificates, including within the US and worldwide. We routinely complete pet travel certificates for families traveling or moving. We’ve helped many military families undergoing a PCS to Europe, Hawaii, Guam and Japan. Exotic Pets: We regularly treat many different kinds of pets. We’ll see ferrets, birds, hedgehogs, iguanas, bearded dragons, turtles, tortoises, and fish. Our doctor’s have extensive zoo medicine experience. If you do not see your pet listed, please call us. On the rare chance we do not treat your species of pet, we will help you find a vet who does. |
